The Ravens are going to get knocked off their high horse in Denver on opening night. Week 1 picks.

The Ravens played great in the playoffs last season beating the top AFC team on their way to the Super Bowl.  I've been very hard on Joe Flacco in the past but I gave him credit for leading them to a championship.  Now that we're heading into a new season, my criticism of Flacco remains.  He's lost Boldin and Pitta, not to mention Rice isn't getting any younger.  Flacco's low completion percentage and inability to convert third downs will plague their offense all season.

After postings a record of 164-92 last season, I'm ready to breakthrough to 70% this season.

Here's an early look at Week 1.

Ravens @ Broncos - Denver wins at home behind Manning and a solid defense.

Vikings @ Lions - Detroit wins.  Their weakness if pass defense but the Vikings cannot throw,

Seahawks @ Panthers - Seattle wins at home on the legs of Lynch and Wilson.

Patriots @ Bills - New England should roll the Bills and their offense.  If you have the Patriots defense you're in great shape.

Bengals @ Bears - This should be a great match-up to start the season.  I like the Bears at home.

Dolphins @ Browns - This game will say a lot about the Browns season.  I'll go with the Phins.

Raiders @ Colts - Indianapolis and Luck are heading up and the Raiders are treading water in the basement, Colts win.

Falcons @ Saints - This is an outstanding match-up week 1.  The Saints are eager to get things back on track this year.  I'll go Saints at home.

Buccaneers @ Jets - If Tampa Bay doesn't win this game they are in big trouble.  Bucs on the road.

Titans @ Steelers - Pittsburgh is ready to show they are still relevant.  They win this at home.

Chiefs @ Jaguars - I really like Kansas City this season and think the combination of Reid and Smith will be geat.  The Chiefs win this one and make a statement.

Cardinals @ Rams - This is a match-up of the other NFC West teams.  I like where Fisher is going in St Louis but Arizona has a decent QB this year and will have a much better season this year.

Packers @ 49ers - The NFL has given us another gem on opening weekend.  This could be a NFC Championship preview.  I'll go with San Francisco at home.

Giants @ Cowboys - The NFC is probably the most covered division in the NFL.  The Cowboys think they are relevant but they need to prove it.  I'll go with Dallas at home here, but we'll see where their season goes.

Eagles @ Redskins - Is this the return of RG3, or not?  Either way RG3 did not play all preseason and will not be sharp in his first game.  Chip Kelly and Vick have a lot to prove on the MNF stage.  I'm going to go with Philadelphia only because RG3 hasn't played.

Texans @ Chargers - The Texans are one of the favorites in the AFC and the Chargers are free falling from relevance.  Only question here is if Foster can stay healthy.

Let's hope for a strong double digit start to the season.
