Alabama's chances at a 3 peat, a Dynasty awaits.

The Alabama football team have won three out of the last four bcs national championships. They boast a 49-5 record over the last 4 years, but this year will be tougher than the previous ones. The reason is because of the lack of experience and leadership on this years defensive unit as they lost  of six of their top defenders to this years draft including all-american Dee Milliner. The remaining group has some good players, but lack the tenacity and experience this group had. Key returnees are Ha Ha Clinton Dix, Cj Mosley, Trey DePriest, Vinnie Sunseri and many others who saw playing time throughout the year. The biggest impact will come from this years recruiting class which was the number one class in the country. It includes top defensive recruits Reuben Foster, Dee Liner, Jonathan Allen and others. The tides defensive unit will depend heavily on its past two recruiting classes and the defensive guru Kirby Smart. Similar to last years defensive unit Smart will have to mix packages together to come up with the best unit possible. Given the teams recent success in the past this years group shouldn't have any trouble having a nations top defense again this year.

On the other side of the ball the crimson tide shouldn't have any problem moving the ball. They lost key starters Eddie Lacy, Chance Warmack, and Barrett Jones but will replace them with key contributors from last years team. They return key offensive players Tj Yeldon, Amari Cooper, Christian Jones,  Aj McCaron, Kenny Bell, and offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio. Incoming freshman Derrick Harvey, Robert Foster, Alvin Kamara, O.j Howard, and lineman Leon Brown and Grant Hill, all look to push for playing time this off-season. With so much talent on this side of the ball the crimson tide will have one of the finest offensive units in all of college football.

With this being said Alabama will once again find itself one of the top tier college programs in the country. Its chances at a three peat are good, but the road back to the championship game want be easy. If anyone can accomplish the feat of a three peat its this Alabama team and its great coaching staff.

  3. Even if Alabama wins out and makes it to the title game Oregon will beat them. Alabama let up way to many points to Texas A&M. Oregon has a way better offense than both these teams. I say Oregon by 7 in the title game.
