NFL Week 1 Preview, The Cowboys Open the Season against the New York Giants

The NFL Regular Season is about to begin.  We are finally moving away from these awful preseason games.  Here's a look at the winners for week 1.

WED, SEP 5
Dallas at NY Giants - Eli and the Giants open the season as Superbowl Champs.  Their defense is too much for Tony Romo and the Cowboys.  Giants Win.

SUN, SEP 9
Indianapolis at Chicago - Jay Cutler and the Bears offense open up against a rebuilding Colts team.  Cutler puts up huge numbers and the Bears roll.

Philadelphia at Cleveland - The Browns may be the worst team in the league.  The Eagles and Vick put up some big numbers and their defense shuts down Weeden and Richardson.

New England at Tennessee - Jake Locker is not an NFL QB and the Patriots are going to show that in week 1.  Chris Johnson will put up some yards but no chance they beat Brady and the Pats.

Atlanta at Kansas City - I'm not a Matt Cassell Fan but the Chiefs have other weapons on offense.  However, Matt Ryan and company is too much and they take this one.

Jacksonville at Minnesota - This may be the worst matchup of the season.  These two teams are in the cellar and neither has a lot of upside.  I don't like Ponder or Gabbert long term.  I'll go with Minnesota only because they are the home team.

Washington at New Orleans - RG3 is a nice story but he's still a rookie.  The Saints are great in the Superdome and there's no chance they drop this one.

Buffalo at NY Jets - The Jets offense is terrible.  The Bills are on the way up and rebuilding.  This game is a lot closer than it should be but I think the Jets defense and Tim Tebow are the difference.

St. Louis at Detroit - The Lions come into this season with a lot of expectations.  They still have questions at RB and CB.  Whatever their questions they are going to put up points.  Lions roll here.

Miami at Houston - I don't buy Tannehill as an NFL QB.  I like Houston to win the AFC this season.  Houston takes this one at home.

San Francisco at Green Bay - This is an outstanding matchup.  The 49ers have a great defense and GB has a powerful offense.  This is a must watch in week 1.  I have to go with GB at home.

Seattle at Arizona - The Cardinals are still trying to figure out their QB situation.  The Seahawks are trying to figure out everything.  I'll lean Arizona since they're at home.

Carolina at Tampa Bay - Cam Newton exploded into the NFL last season.  Tampa quit on their coach last season.  I like where Carolina is headed, I'll take them to win.

Pittsburgh at Denver - Peyton Manning makes his regular season debut in Denver.  People forget that Denver has a good defense and running game.  I think that Manning is the difference here and the Broncos win.

MON, SEP 10
Cincinnati at Baltimore - The Bengals are coming on strong with a young offense.  The Ravens are getting old on defense and Flacco is not an elite QB.  However, Baltimore wins this at home.

San Diego at Oakland - This is an interesting game.  Not only is this a huge division match-up but it'll tell a lot about these two teams.  Rivers needs to step it up and take his team into the playoffs.  The Raiders have talents on offense, can Palmer lead them this season.  I see the Raiders winning at Home.

Good Luck.
